Challenge Airlines (BE) S.A. is an airline based in Liege Airport (LGG) with a Belgian AOC. The airline operates daily scheduled cargo flights and charter services carrying nonstandard goods and general cargo internationally. Challenge Airlines (BE) is part of a Global airline group that carries approximately 400,000 tons of cargo annually. The Network Planning Officer organize and directly participate in the development and execution of the yearly, monthly and weekly group schedule planning. She/he reports to the Network Planning Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth execution of group’s commercial schedule in the most effective & efficient way. 
  • Ensure all relevant updates surrounding all planning connected information and documents are given to all relevant parties in the Company and the Group. 
  • Develop and implement effective business administration and function management for the Network Planning department. 
  • Develop and povied the Network Planning Manager proposals regarding the Group's planning. 
  • Participate in development of the Group's and the Company's missions, goals, and strategy under his/her functions. 
  • Obtaining traffic rights, slots, and all necessary commercial permits to ensure the smooth operation for the group’s activity. 
  • Ensure all information in connection with the schedule planning is communicated in accordance with the Company and the Group’s regulations. 
  • Coordinate the group’s planned schedule with stakeholders within and outside the group. 
  • Develop and implement actions for reduction of operational costs of the group. 
  • Participate in development and realization of the Group's planes on interaction with external service providers within his/her competence. 
  • Independently make decisions on the group's commercial planning activity within the scope of his/her authorities.  
  • Take measures on improvement of schedule planning, duly inform the Network Planning Manager about them. 

Education

Minimum of requirement: BA in Economy/ Industrial Engineer or equivalent degree in relevant subject. 

Experience

  • Experience performing network analysis
  • Experience in logistics - an advantage 
  • Experience from the aviation world/ cargo / handling companies / shipping sector - a significant advantage
  • Work in a computer environment, excel-proficient
  • High-level English required
  • French advantage
