The Ground Operations & Security Officer is responsible for executing and coordinating ground handling, security, and turnaround activities to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time flight operations.
The role actively supports ramp supervision, aircraft security, cargo build-up monitoring, and operational coordination during live flight operations.
Responsibilities
Security:
• Ensure aircraft security during turnaround.
• Monitor aircraft access and perform security searches prior to departure.
• Comply with ISA and local aviation security regulations.
• Report any security irregularities.
Ramp Safety (RSS):
• Perform duties in accordance with Company GOM and RSS requirements.
• Complete flight reports and submit incident reports in IQSMS.
• Report safety concerns and service provider deviations.
TAC – Turnaround Coordinator:
• Coordinate assigned flights in accordance with TAC procedures.
• Update TAC systems in real time.
• Liaise with ground handlers to ensure on-time departure.
• Support incident reporting and emergency response when required.
Flight Build-Up Monitoring:
• Send build-up instructions according to commercial priorities.
• Monitor cargo build-up and resolve irregularities.
• Ensure all booked shipments are built and loaded.
• Maintain data accuracy and support flight closure.
Crew & Special Operations:
• Arrange crew hotel, transport, and catering services.
• Escort crew or passengers when required.
• Support charter flights and special operations, including travel when needed
Education
High School Diploma (minimum); aviation-related degree is an advantage.
Experience, Skills, and Personal Attributes
- 2+ years of experience in ground operations, cargo, or aviation security.
- Experience in cargo airlines, freight forwarders, or GSA preferred.
- Good knowledge of aircraft turnaround and ramp safety procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Valid HK Driving License (Class 1) preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in 24/7 shift operations.
Must pass regulatory background checks.
